Introduction to heartburn remedies
Heartburn has several names, it is commonly known as acid indigestion, the other names are pyrosis and cardialgia. The main symptom of acid indigestion is a burning feeling in the chest area. Unfortunately it doesn't end there, usually it will go up from the chest to the neck and throat or perhaps to the jaw.

Heartburn remedies
There are a some simple treatments you can do to combat heartburn.
The most important and easiest thing that you can do is cut out bad nutrition and indulge in good nutrition. That means cutting out or cutting down drastically the amount of sugar, soft drinks and fatty and acidic foods that you consume. Other things to avoid are citrus fruits, alcohol and caffeine.
Put some ginger into your diet
Ginger is an old remedy for heartburn, how old is hard to say, it is used in Ayurveda for acid reflux so I'd guess very, very old. Ginger as inflammatory properties.
Drink a cup of ginger tea or put some ginger with your food. I suggest trying it with some pasta, it tastes great.
Drink vinegar
There are no clinical trials done which prove that apple cider vinegar works for heartburn, but it's a widely reported remedy, so it obviously works for a lot of people. If it didn't, then in my opinion it would have been put to bed a long time ago.
Fenugreek seeds is an effective treatment for heartburn, it has a good amount of mucilage, it coats the intestine and stomach so gives relief to gastrointestinal inflammation. Put some seeds with your meal or swallow them with liquid before your meal. Fenugreek seeds are also used a lot in Ayurvedic medicine
Lose weight and stop smoking
Both smoking and being overweight are common causes of acid indigestion. Getting rid of these two problems will not only help get rid of acid indigestion but some other problems as well.
